全球前十一大航商、碼頭介紹

　　杜拜屬阿拉伯聯合大公國（The United Arab Emirates, UAE），原是波斯灣沿岸的小漁港，1958年，前任邦長拉希德（Rashid）展開一系列開發計畫，包含拓寬波斯灣運河以擴展貿易量，借錢興建運河邊第一個港口－拉希德港（Port Rashid），在吉貝阿里（Jebel Ali）沙漠中開挖世界最大的人工港－目前已成立自由貿易港區，聚集5000多家跨國企業。

杜拜港具有以下三個優勢：

1. 阿聯為歐、亞、非的交界，且杜拜位於阿聯的東北海岸，為中東航道之樞紐，左臨波斯灣，右抱阿曼灣（Gulf of Oman），是波斯灣鄰近國家、紅海、西非、以及亞洲次大陸之航道要衝，目前為波斯灣入口，中東、非洲、印度的轉運點。
2. 碼頭服務品質高，吸引眾多航商泊靠。
3. 硬體設備與鄰近其他港口相較，為各港之最。

硬體設備概況

1. 碼頭條件最佳：港區航道之水深達17m，貨櫃碼頭水深14-16m，貨櫃碼頭長度2,350m，均為鄰近他國港口碼頭之最。
2. 裝卸機具規模最大：橋式起重機35部，軌道式起重機92部，冷凍插座2,319個，都比鄰近港口佳。其中橋式機的吊臂延伸長度（38-68m）與安全荷重（35-60噸），也比其他港口高。

現況與未來發展

1. 吉貝阿里港目前為全球面積最大的人工深水港口與最大的貨櫃港口，現代化設備齊全，可以滿足本地及國際供應鏈的需求。
2. 吉貝阿里港位於吉貝阿里貿易自由區（Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, JAFZA）內，在政府多方面的關稅優惠和貿易獎勵機制的推行下，目前有來自120個國家的知名大廠，共6400家廠商進駐，使杜拜港成為世界第三大自由港。
3. 有了世界最大的港口後，杜拜這幾年又決定投入80億美元（約新台幣2600億元），在旁邊建一個全世界最大國際機場—吉貝阿里機場，此機場將擁有六條跑道，其中一條專門提供給貨物裝載與卸除貨物，未來到杜拜轉口的遠洋貨物，只要十分鐘，就可以直接從碼頭送到航空站，不用離開免稅的自由貿易區。
4. 為了提供一站式的運籌服務，杜拜政府還打算在新建機場旁邊設立杜拜物流域（Dubai Logistics City, DLC），是全球第一個完整結合路、海、空運輸模式的專業物流園區，無論使用海運或空運，只需使用單一的關物或關稅制度，其成本比歐洲其他轉運中心低了60%。因此，DLC的設立將取代歐洲物流中心之地位，使杜拜成為21世紀全球供應鏈管理的重鎮。

DP World wins sustainability award

DP World has won the prestigious Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (永續交通獎) (DAST) for its work in helping to improve the efficiency of the supply chain.

DP World, UAE region won the award in the mobility management (行動管理) category for its automated gate system (自動查驗系統) project, which commenced operation in Jebel Ali port in August 2010.

Mohammed Al Muallem, senior vice president and managing director of DP World, UAE Region, said: ”We are proud to have received this award in recognition of our automated gate project. It is part and parcel of our many initiatives aimed at easing traffic congestion (舒緩擁擠的交通) and avoiding traffic bottlenecks at the gates around and inside Jebel Ali Port (避免進出吉貝阿里港之貨物的檢驗程序無效率). This also reduces costs as well as carbon emissions (降低成本和碳排放量) and motivates us to work even harder towards sustainability within our business and our community.”

The automated gate system project determines each truck’s entrance time to the port (確定每輛卡車進入港口的時間) and automatically identifies (自動識別)  trucks. This data is fed into an innovative system that generates information to increase capacity of workflow.

The DAST annual award is organised by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and is awarded in five categories. It aims to raise awareness and to encourage the development of a safe and user friendly transportation system(促進發展安全且使用者導向的交通運輸系統).
